A Look at Titanfall
Respawn Entertainment's début title, Titanfall, encompasses an interesting blend of familiarity and genuine innovation within the FPS genre.

Anyone who has played a Call of Duty game since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will feel at home with the shooting mechanics and the class creation screens. This isn't a surprise given that Respawn was founded by ex-Infinity Ward management and employees after a lengthy lawsuit with publisher Activision.
On the other hand Titanfall has a few new tricks to help it stand out from its multiplayer FPS contemporaries. The two most obvious of these are the jump-jet aided parkour movement and of course the Titans themselves.

Titanfall does a good job of introducing its mechanics with a short (and mandatory for first time players) tutorial section before releasing players into the wild west of online matchmaking.
Although the tutorial can be replayed as often as you would like not many players seem to have capitalised on all that the game’s movement offers yet, seemingly stuck in a mindset born of an era in which towering verticality and rapid movement in console shooter games were as rare as winning the lottery.

The verticality of maps in Titanfall serves two major purposes:
It defines clear boundaries between the basic player class of Pilots and Titans, balancing their interactions much better than if there was no way for a Pilot to seek refuge from the metal behemoths, and it gives players a constant suite of options to choose from when considering routes to their goal. No matter where you spawn there’s a great chance that you can get where you want to be very quickly if you can string together enough parkour techniques to reach a high speed; the more players chain running on different walls together the faster they accelerate, eventually reaching a top speed capable of outrunning even dashing Titans.

Despite the basic feel of the gunplay and class creation being very reminiscent of Call of Duty there are two notable differences.
First, kill times are a little longer than in CoD; this makes 1v1 encounters feel a little less based on which player spotted the other first to the point that if you start firing second but hit a headshot that your opponent doesn't then you’ll probably come out on top, and it also means that players aren't just dropping dead while trying to run along walls and leap across gaps between buildings and platforms.
As for the class customisation, it’s a much leaner system than those typically found in Call of Duty and while this may be a disappointment for those who feel that more options is always a good thing, for those of us who prefer a more focused approach it’s a refreshing change of pace and doesn't feel as though some items are there just to pad out the unlocking progression system. Every weapon does something specific and there’s very little extra fluff despite a few of the weapons feeling a little weak in comparison to others (although as it’s so early in Titanfall's lifespan and the game hasn't been completely datamined yet this could just be my own preferences and competences speaking).

Now, the game’s namesake: Titans!
Titanfall features AI minions known as Grunts and Spectres. Although seemingly unrelated to each other at this point, these bots and Titans play an important and synergistic role in creating an economy of sorts within each match. The most direct comparison would be to a MOBA such as League of Legends in which players farm oncoming AI minions in order to earn gold that they spend on upgrades for use in that match. Although Titanfall is devoid of gold, killing these minions does reduce your timer. Each Pilot and Titan in play has a timer counting down to when they can either call in a Titan or activate their Titan's super power known as a Core. As such, the team who can compete in raw kills whilst also maintaining a farming advantage over the opposition will be given more opportunities to play with the big toys, and in turn gain a more solid foundation of map control.

There are 3 classes of Titan; the lightly armoured yet fast Stryder, the lumbering hulk known as the Ogre, and the well balanced Atlas.
Each chassis has a different Core; the Stryder’s core allows for unlimited dashing when active, the Ogre’s strengthens its shield, and the Atlas increases its damage output.
All 3 classes of Titan have access to the same weapons and other customisation options, but their durability, speed, and Core traits will determine how and where exactly you want to use them.
Need an Auto-Titan in guard mode? You probably want an Ogre.
Running a flag home in CTF or flanking the opponent? Take a Stryder.

Despite the gameplay holding up well Titanfall as it stands is rather short on features, lacking any genuine singleplayer mode or even private matches at this point. Respawn does intend to add private matches and to continue to further support the game with updates and feature additions, but in its current state it would be easy for someone not likely to sink a significant number of hours into the game to see it as a waste of money.

Overall what I feel Titanfall does best is it gives players constant options and opportunities to outplay each other without leaving them overwhelmed by endless customisation menus or frustrated by obviously poor balance (nothing is perfect, but I don't have a huge list of complaints so far). It boils down to being a fun and refreshing gaming experience, which for those of us playing on consoles is something to expect from a game designed for a new console such as the Xbox One.

CES2014 Recap
Although not as known to gamers as conferences like E3 and GDC, the Consumer Electronics Show each year in Vegas shows off the latest techno gadgetry and upcoming devices and concepts from high profile electronics and appliances companies. The show usually doesn't place much focus on the gaming side of things, but this year, two things forced that to change.

If you're a PC Gamer, you've likely heard of, if not used, Steam. Valve unveiled their plans for world domin-err, their foray into "console" market earlier this year with their reveal of SteamOS and Steam Machines. At CES 2014, they and their hardware partners revealed their own prototypes for Steam Machines, with demo boxes from Alienware and OriginPC and other prototypes from Maingear and Falcon Northwest. Valve still remains mum on the subject of whether or not they will make their own Steam Machine, though they have confirmed they will offering the Steam Controller as a separate peripheral.

The Oculus Rift VR device returned with a new prototype to feature better tracking and less vomit-inducing motion blur, bringing the virtual reality headset a step closer toward mass market production. The device brings in-game immersion to a brand new level, especially with games like the space simulator Eve: Valkyrie which was used to demo the headset.

In other PC news, Razer, typically known for their peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and controllers, showed off a concept for a modular gaming PC, with each of the parts (processors, graphics cards, hard drives, etc.) in uniformly sized capsules which could fit into a larger frame and be swapped out at will relatively pain-free. Though the methods aren't yet practical, the prototype pushes the envelope of PC design and re-imagines how a PC could be built.

Sony was present to show off their plans for the PlayStation Now service to stream games in the same vein as Netflix streams movies, to a variety of devices (including PS4, PS3, PS Vitas, Tablets, and Smart Phones) without a drop in quality through Cloud computing.

SteelSeries unveiled the Stratus, a Bluetooth controller for iPad or iPhone gaming. The controller's small size invokes memories of the NES and SNES controllers of ye olden dayes, but if iOS7 gaming is your cup of tea, the convenience may be necessary. Though, unlike typical console controllers, the Stratus' selling price was set to be $99.99. Ouch.

Of course, outside of the Gaming realm, CES showed off curved TVs, various 4k devices from TVs to camcorders, robots, Smart Stoves, Audi's "Piloted Driving" technology, and Christopher Lloyd in a Delorean. Much like Lloyd, some of this technology is not yet ready for mass consumption, and must go Back to the Future to be perfected for the public.

Battlefield 4 Update/China Rising

Along with the release of the first expansion, China Rising Dice has released the latest MM update as well. The patch notes can be found below.

Dec 17 X360 Game Update
-General stability improvements.
-Fixed one of the most frequently occurring crashes that could happen during round transition.
-Reduced the probability of the “Kill trade” issue (see below for details).
-Fixed a crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.
-Fix for player tags not always showing quickly enough. This could often lead to confusion or team kills on Hardcore servers.
-Populated servers are now by default placed on the top in the Server Browser, where previously empty servers would be shown.
-Servers that friends are playing on have a higher priority in the server list.
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived. Note that you might see a graphical bug on-screen after being revived when accepting a revive within 1 second. This graphical bug will be removed in the next patch.
-Fix for the death camera/screen being displayed too early.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer runs out.
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “road killing” opponents.
-Fix for an issue where 4x the damage from a vehicle's miniguns would be applied to the chest when a player had the Defense specialization equipped.
-Balanced vehicle miniguns to do more damage versus infantry.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.
-Fixed a bug in Defuse mode where defenders could win a round by killing all the attackers without disarming the bomb. If the attackers arm the bomb, the defenders need to disarm it to win, even if they have killed all the attackers.
-Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in infinite loading when connecting to a server.
-Fix for side gunners in attack boats and transport helicopters experiencing jitter when aiming.
-Fixed the issue with Levolution events sometimes not being triggered properly when playing the Rush, Defuse, Obliteration and Team/Squad Deathmatch game modes.
-Removed the SCAR-H and Ace 52 damage tweaks that were included in a previous patch.

Kill trading issue
We’ve addressed the so-called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server. This should reduce the probability of kill trading.

Master Theory's 50 Hour Child's Play Charity Stream Marathon Event was a success! Thanks to all the gracious viewers who donated to our cause, we were able to meet our goal- and then some! With several streamers participating and many games featured on our channel we were able to raise over $500 for Child's Play Charities. So thank you immensely to all who donated, tuned in, and of course all who woke up at crazy hours, streamed non-stop for way too many hours, and put in their time at any hour, to help make this stream a success.

Again, many many thanks to our streamers: Mania, Audley, Vani, Panik, TsengMao, Triton, Yoshi and Raptzor.

Some more thanks to our donors- we cannot thank you enough <3

Master Theory/Child's Play Charity Stream Marathon
Thanksgiving. It's a time of gathering with family, overindulging on a wicked spread of turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and the obligatory green bean casserole. While you recover from the coma caused by tryptophan overdose in the aftermath of Thanksgiving, join Master Theory in supporting an excellent cause and help give children in hospitals everywhere a little something to be thankful for.

Since 2003, the Child's Play charity organization has sought to provide hospitals with toys and games to bring entertainment and joy to children during their stay. To date, Child's Play provides donations to over 70 hospitals around the world and have raised millions toward their goal of keeping up the spirits of children in hospitals up.

Starting at 11 PM Eastern time on the 29th, Master Theory would like to do their part to help out the Child's Play charity. To do so, Master Theory's players will be streaming a 50-hour marathon, during which viewers will be encouraged to donate toward their goal of $500.

Join Mania, TsengMao, Raptzor, VanirFreyja, Audley, Z33, Panik, and Triton as they stream by rotation and donate toward the Child's Play Charity.

The crew will be streaming whatever games they like, with likely suspects being XBox 360/XBox One and PC titles Halo, Call of Duty, League of Legends, Battlefield 4, Dead Space 3, PlanetSide 2, Solstice Arena, DotA2 and perhaps a few other throwback surprises.

So again, after Thanksgiving and Black Friday are a thing of the past, tune into Master Theory's Twitch channels and support a good cause with the Master Theory/Child's Play Charity drive.

Audley Enough: Is that Rally All It Takes?

Starting Monday, June 3rd, the following updates will be applied to Halo 4 War Games Matchmaking:

The Battle Rifle is now capable of killing in four bursts.
The Battle Rifle rate of fire has been slightly decreased.
The Battle Rifle red reticle range (range at which auto-aim benefits kick in)

Two bursts from a Battle Rifle followed by a melee will now kill an opponent (2-shot melee).

The Carbine damage has been increased.
The Carbine is now capable of killing in seven rounds.
The Carbine accuracy has been increased (projectile spread decrease).
The Carbine red reticle range has been decreased.

The LightRifle zoomed rate of fire has been increased.
The LightRifle un-zoomed rate of fire has been slightly decreased.
The LightRifle red reticle range has been increased to match the updated DMR range.

The DMR red reticle range has been slightly decreased.

Assault Rifle

The Assault Rifle damage has been slightly increased.
The Assault Rifle now kills in three less rounds.
The Assault Rifle auto-aim angle has been reduced.
The Assault Rifle projectile spread has been decreased.

Storm Rifle

The Storm Rifle damage has been increased.
The Storm Rifle now kills in three less rounds.
The Storm Rifle auto-aim angle has been reduced.
The Storm Rifle projectile spread has been decreased.

The Suppressor damage has been increased.
The Suppressor now kills in three less rounds.
The Suppressor auto-aim angle has been reduced.
The Suppressor projectile spread has been decreased.

The damage has been increased to maintain double the damage-per-second of the Assault Rifle.

The damage has been slightly increased.
The Magnum is still capable of killing in six rounds.

The damage has been increased on both the Mantis and Warthog Chain Gun.

Lastly, base player movement speed has been increased from 100% to 110% across all playlists and modes. All of these balance tweaks will be released this coming Monday in order to provide a more fast-paced, optimized matchmaking experience, and all of Halo 4’s applicable Matchmaking game types will be affected by this change. Team Snipers, Grifball, and Action Sack’s Rock N’ Rail will not see any changes, however, as the weapons in these game types are not affected. Some game types (such as Action Sack’s Lightning Flag), will not receive the change due to the preferred pace and balance in the current tuning. Moving forward, select game types in the Action Sack playlist may use alternate weapon tuning, and we will be sure to provide information on these game types when the time comes.

In addition to the above, the following updates are also being made to Matchmaking:

The “Slayer Pro” game mode in Big Team Infinity Slayer and Infinity Slayer will now have an Assault Rifle loadout. Also, the “Global Skill searching,” or CSR matching duration, will be increased once again for all playlists. This increase will help ensure that Matchmaking is primarily searching for both teammates and opponents at your per-playlist CSR level. As mentioned last week, we will continue to monitor the speed at which players are being matched, as well as the consistency of CSR matching.

In an effort to always offer DLC content in Matchmaking, we are happy to announce that the Majestic DLC playlist will return next week as the “featured DLC” playlist. We will continue to offer a variety of DLC maps in this slot, and may update the game types, maps, and even team sizes moving forward to keep DLC content fresh and available in Halo 4 Matchmaking. The Community Forge Island playlist will be retired, as the maps will return to the hands of the talented Forgers who created them so that they can be fine-tuned and possibly integrated into existing playlists. Special thanks to the Forgers, Community Cartographers, and all the players who made this playlist a success.

In Capture the Flag, the overtime period has been increased from one minute to two minutes in order to allow for even more nail-biting, and “big party matching” has been turned on, which ensures that parties of three or more will get matched with parties of three or more. In King of the Hill, the hill point limit has been increased from 25 to 50, and the score to win has been increased from 150 points to 250 points to provide more control-based game play.

Lastly, the multiplayer design team has been updating all of Halo 4’s maps with new weapon (ordnance) locations, new weapon drops, updated starting and objective spawns, and even new Forge objects to diversify and balance gameplay. For example, Haven now uses Red / Blue spawns, lifts, and colored halls across all game types, Abandon has some crates added as well as a central, equidistant Overshield for optimized map flow, and much more. Some maps have received updates to vehicle locations and selection as well. We expect these updates to slightly change up the way these maps are played and help freshen up the Matchmaking experience. The full details of the Matchmaking update will be posted on Monday.

BTBnet Spring Challenge

So, you think you know competitive Halo, eh? I'm sure when you hear the terms "competitive Halo" you close your eyes and picture maps like Sanctuary, The Pit, Midship, Lockout, or the smaller maps of old. What if I told you that you were programmed to believe that's the only form of competitive Halo there is, when in reality it is much, much bigger?

Big Team Battle doubles the meager 4v4 variants and pits two teams of eight players against one another, featuring a much more expansive offering of the Halo sandbox. And yes, it's competitive too. is hosting a Prize Money tournament this spring with the help of DaveEasily, to pit 8 teams against one another for a $1000 grand prize. Although at its heart, the tournament is an invitational, excess teams can battle through a play-in tournament the day before the official tournament on May 4th. Check out full details at the official BTBnet forums sign-up thread:

Matches will be a Best of 5 for Round 1 with the latter two rounds as Best of 7s, featuring a sampling of gametypes from the Official BTBnet Fileshare.

Be ready, though, as BTBnet veteran team (and 4-time champions) Wake Up are looking to defend their crown, among the likes of Master Theory and Sudden Death. But if you can secure your spot in the tournament and make it past these veterans of BTB, you and your team will earn a share of the $1000 pot up for grabs this Spring!

Master Theory, let's start the beat!
Clap your hands and stomp your feet!
Scream it, shout it, yell it out!
Come on fans let's get loud!

Yeah yeah I know, it's not exactly morning anymore, but I started typing this at work when it was. Plus it just sounds better than good afternoon.

First things first. Season One of the OFFICIAL League has BEGUN! Rosters locked last night and the ladders are live! A huge congratulations to Triton, Molly, and the entire staff over at for their hard work! (mostly Triton and Molly). BEE TEE Dubs, I totally helped out with the little weapon icons. HUGE contribution on my part. Just letting you know.

We ended the Winter Invitational at second place but don't let that get you cocky! There are plenty of new teams and new competition this season! MT's Official Cheerleader (Asian) has started a team called Wake Up so I'm definitely looking forward to some games against him!

Also a quick shout out to Iron Fox! They didn't participate in the Winter Invitational but I hope we'll be setting up some practice scrims with you all! Head on over to Autumn Forge to check them out!

Got a BTB team and tired of statting on randies? It's too late to participate in Season One, but go get registered on to set up some friendly scrims!

^ clicky clicky!

I'm fairly certain I've already reached my daily quota of exclamation marks but you still get one more! Have a fantastic day everyone! (lol jk, you got two).

Congratulations Master Theory on your win last night over Sudden Death! Awesome games guys! I was watching Raptzor's stream the whole time. If you missed them, the games can be found here.

A huge thank you and good job to Achy with his three flag caps AND a Triple Double. Damn. Actually, three of you pulled off a Triple Double that first game. Great job MT! Going huge with the assists! (Triple Triple Doubles for Achy and the Jeremys! Haha. Cus three people got them).

You guys kept it up the second game! Pushing up on Tempest, keeping map control, annnnd it almost ended with a steak! Final score 100-64 with no one going negative on MT and no one going positive on sD. Let's go MT! Looks like no triple doubles that game but y'all got a Thank the Maker! Haha. You show those Bungie employees who's boss!

Seriously. Awesome job everyone! We managed a win even with Throttle and Raptzor. Good job guys, but even together, you'll never amount to what Arriival was on our team. lololol <3 !

MT #1!
I'm pretty sure Matclan asked me to update the front page a few weeks back. So here I am, once again late with the update as usual. I'll get into it real quick.

For starters, Congrats to Throttle! He's the newest addition to the Master Theory Halo Roster. It looks like no one's actually added him to the MEMBERS section of our site so I'll get right on that after this update. Y'all better send him messages of congratulations and well wishes!

This week''s update is brought to you by:

Emerald Glazed Walnuts.
Be sure to grab a bag from the candy and nut aisle of your local grocery store! Or be like me and be unable to find any anywhere because everyone eats goddamn almonds and shit and no one sells walnuts.

So on to the things you need to know.
After an epic and somewhat unexpected win over Black Screen. Master Theory will be playing Prison Treatment tonight.By the way, MT knew we'd win. I say that only for you scrubby randoms who didn't believe in us.

Bracket information can be found here.
Official Maps and Gametypes can be downloaded here.

Annnnnd before our match, here comes our motivational cheer!

Get on up are ya ready, are ya ready, to fight?
Let's hear it for Master Theory, let's win, tonight!

Let's kick some ass.

Have a safe and FANTASTIC weekend!

HEYHEY MT! I apologize for the inconsistency with the updates. Been dealing with a cold, bronchitis, and caffeine withdrawal :c Nevertheless, I will always find time for halo! Anyhoo. I would like to announce that Round One of the Winter Invitational Tournament begins this week! We've got from November 11th-18th to complete our first set of games. Annnnnnnnnnd our first opponent is SUDDEN DEATH! I know a good majority of MT has sD on their friends lists (myself included) but for the next week, show no mercy! They are the enemy! Mwahahahaha! (btw. that was evil laughter). We'll be playing them best of three on 1-Flag on Boardwalk, followed by Multiflag CTF on Tempest and ending with Slayer on Trident. These, of course, will all be played on Official settings. LET’S GO MT! LET’S GO! YEAH! YEAH!

Bracket information can be found here.
Official Maps and Gametypes can be downloaded here.

Striving for victory!
A step above the rest!
MT is number one!
The best of the best!
[/end MT motivational cheer]

Over and out! c:

Hey hey MT! First things first. Congrats on some FANTASTIC games against Obey last night. I had a ton of fun and definitely enjoyed all the goofy customs we played afterwards =] A huge thank you to Raptzor who filled in for us. I definitely hope to get more games in with you soon! Keep up the great work everyone! I think Matclan said we're going to try and get a scrim with Blackscreen next week so let's all continue to do our best!

Today marks the fourth anniversary of our dearly departed friend. Halo 3. So you all better join me and what I hope will be a multitude of other people in celebration tonight. Did I mention it's my birthday? The birth of such an amazing game just so happens to coincide with the birth of an amazing person. It must be fate. Haha.

Btw. This is why Panik is my favorite.

I hope I'll see you all on tonight!

lets go MT! lets go! yeah yeah!
Hey Hey MT! Hope you're all having a FANTASTIC weekend! It's pouring here in Chicago which means it'll be another Halo filled weekend. Due to personal issues I've been slacking with the updates but fear no more for the the slack shall end!

We are currently in Week 3 of the ladders. Master Theory vs. Sudden Death. Best of three on One-Flag Boardwalk. Multi-Flag Tempest. And Territories on Hemmorhage. Good luck against sD! Let's win win win! No matter what what what! Here's hoping the ladder games get played this weekend =]

Unfortunately the HC BTB Tournament has become way too confusing for me to track so I'm not entirely sure what to update. Whoever it is you're playing, I wish you all the best of luck!

If you've got your own BTB team or you're interested in meeting others who are share the love of the game. Visit and be sure to register!

^ this will lead you to the site.

By the way. A very happy birthday to Tiberius Audrey who turned 24 this past Monday (the 15th). I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Take care everyone! Have a safe and fun-filled weekend!

Helloooooo Master Theory!

Good games to all who participated in the MT vs. Xtr3m match. It was a tough first round but you guys did your best! Next time I'll ask Asian how to bridge host to make the games more fair. lolololjk! I don't actually know what that means. (I'm seriously seriously kidding about this comment. I do NOT condone cheating and am just trying to enjoy a bad joke.)

Best of luck to you guys when you face Chimmy Chongas on Friday! I know you'll all kick ass!

To any fellow BTBers: MT and the staff of are working towards implementing a BTB ladder so please visit the site, register your team, and message the staff members with any ideas you wish to contribute towards the BTB revival.

^ this will lead you to the site.

It's recently come to my attention that if you wish to register on our site here, you must message one of our members on XBL to inform us. Due to high volumes of spam, the forum registration is currently disabled. But other than that, nothing too crazy going on here at Master Theory. We just had a few members going on and off vacation. Have a fantastic summer everyone! And hope to see you all in game soon!

I know I'm a little late on the update since the nuptials have already occurred this morning. But you have my sincere congratulations. All of us here wish you both every happiness and joy. I don't know too much about Lindsay, but the woman who you chose to devote your life to must be amazing. The kind of marriage you make depends on the kind of person you are. Knowing who you are, and all the values you hold yourself to; I know you two will create a wonderful life together.

Congratulations Sean and Lindsay. May you live your life in good health, good luck, and happiness every day.

gogo randoms!
Gonna update with a bunch of random tidbits of information.

Quite a few congratulations to go out today. Good games to Cloud, Audley, Achronos, Matclan, nhd, and TsengMao for winning their first rounds of the GGN 1v1 Tournament. And to the Master Theory HC Tourney BTB team who took the lead in their pool by defeating the HC BTB team and the Italian 10. Great job guys! =] Good luck on your next rounds!

Happy Birthday today to Arriival, who just turned 19! And a happy early birthday to Beer! (who’ll be 24 on Saturday!) Hope you both have a fantastic birthday!

Gotta throw some shameless self promotion in here. I've recently started doing the Spotlight Interviews. If you’d like to volunteer to be one of the very lucky individuals to get some one on one time with me you can do so heeere. lol. jk. I just PM you the questions and don’t actually have to interact with you at all other than that =D

(will update with a much more epic post later this week)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day to my fellow countrymen and wimminz! And a happy July 4th to all you non-americans! Just another Monday to you isn't it? :D I hope you've all had a safe and SPLENDID weekend. I'll be in Wisconsin for the day but I wanted to update before I head out.

A quick congratulations to XBL Method who is the newest member of Master Theory. Be sure to send him messages of congrats and well wishes. He's already changed his gamertag to Method x MT. Obviously, he's a much better member than I am :D A big thank you to all our members who shell out the ten bucks to represent; making it easier for people to recognize the Master Theory name :D Btw Method, I'm totally the one who added you to the front page roster cus I'm like soooo nice and awesome. lol.

Way to go MT! We (not actually me) played our first match of the HC BTB Tournament against Ancient Warriors on Friday. Good game to everyone and congratulations on the win! This time I actually have the game stats for you all to look at. A special thank you to Dere Bear (Arriival) for linking me to the games =]

Game Stats are a GO!

There were too many games involved so I didn't update with the stats =D You guys all did a great job though; proving that Master Theory can 4v4 as well as we 8v8.

Just a reminder that sign-ups have begun for the 2011 GGN 1v1 Tournament. Let's see Cloud take 1st again this year! Or will one of our other six MT players who've signed up end his reign? dun dun dunnnnnn. Let's go MT!

MASTER THEORY MEMBERS WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE HALOCHARTS BTB TOURNAMENT: Matclan requests that you PLEASE PLEASE PUHLEASE click this very important LINK to look over the soooper offishul MT strats. He does not want to have to review them with you in game! (If you're not in MT this link will lead you NOWHERE! =D Sorry doods!)

The first round matches are scheduled for next weekend (i think) so good luck to you guys! Make us proud!

That's all for now.
I leave you with this picture of me eating a sandwich.

See y'all around! =]

zomg! tits!
*gasp* What's this? Jenny is updating the front page?! Not only is Master Theory getting an update but Jenny is actually participating in MT!? (who's idea was it anyway to give Jenny the power to post tits on the front page?)

Yes, I'm still an active (<-debatable) MT member. And although there's the GGN 4v4 tournament as well as the HC BTB tourney I could and should be updating about, I'm not going to.

Instead I'm going to talk about Master Theory and (as cliche as it sounds), what it means to me. If you look at our roster you'll find 24 members; and at the moment we're still accepting applications.

"24 members!? But that makes three entire BTB teams! That's preposterous!"

It's not though. When a friend of mine considering joining MT, I told him it's more than joining just a team. You'll create real relationships with people who'll worm their way into your lives and ask for your number, then actually use it. You'll become part of a site that's used to discuss strats (that haven't been updated in ages <cough>AUDLEY</cough>), question Ted's sexuality, and even to post pictures or videos that can either be used for blackmail or to cause great lulz. Master Theory has never been just a big team. We're a community who participates in the Good Gaming Network, HCPL Challenges,, as well as a multitude of other activities. Of course when I talked to my friend about it, I gave a much more half-assed response that went something along the lines of, "OMG I'M IN MT, THAT MEANS YOU SHOULD BE TOO! LOLOLOL!!!" We still consider our not so active members part of the team; their names stay on the roster. And should they decide to hop on Reach for the first time in forever, we’ll all be more than happy to have them on. We strive to be the best not just at the game, but as a community. So next time you wonder why we’re such a large team or want complain that you can never keep track of who’s on our roster, try to remember it’s because we’re all friends. We’re part of each other’s lives on and off Halo. We’re more than just a BTB team.

All your team belong to me.
